Our schedule is designed so that the children -dressed appropriately for outdoor temperatures of course - have the opportunity to spend enough time outdoors, at any time and season of the year. In addition, during the spring and summer months, we move some of our lessons to the outdoor areas where our students can engage in all learning activities while being in the fresh air.

Isn't there too much learning for our children?

In Espania, our students learn through playing, reading and engaging in conversations. Thus, they perceive learning as all-day play and are proud of their new achievements and knowledge. We believe that stagnation and boredom cannot be found in a child's brain.

Can children manage to learn two or three foreign languages?

They can. Children have the ability to learn as many languages as they come in contact with. Learning takes the form of acquired skills and in our kindergarten they acquire knowledge of the language in the same form as if it were their mother tongue.

What does the food and menu look like?

We serve breakfast to children in the form of a buffet. Our children can choose from a variety of pastries, cereals, milk, yoghurts, cheeses, fruits and vegetables. For morning snack (brunch) time we serve fresh fruit. For lunch our children receive soup, salad and a choice of vegetarian and meat / fish dishes. We pay attention to the use of fresh ingredients from certified suppliers and do not serve pork or chicken. Instead, children receive veal, rabbit and turkey meat, as well as high-quality fish - such as salmon and tuna. For an afternoon snack, we serve homemade spreads of fresh vegetables.salad, pancakes and homemade cakes. Children who stay in the kindergarten longer during the day also receive evening snacks.

The members of our pedagogical teams come from more than 20 countries and 6 continents and are therefore experienced in the global teaching trends. . Each of our skilful teachers has a different academic background and teaching experience and are able to bring their unique form of teaching to the kindergarten. Due to this, we are able to give our children the best pedagogical approaches from around the world.

In addition to our compulsory subjects such as mathematics, social sciences, geography, art, reading and writing, sports and music education, we aso offer several optional extra mural activities such as swimming, skating, climbing or skiing.

Do you do outings with the children?

Yes. We encourage children to gather immediate experiences in a real environment - in operas, theaters, galleries, monuments, zoos, farms and museums. We either go look for fun or the fun comes to us.

Yes we do. Younger children are fed by teachers and assistants, or we encourage them to try and eat alone with a little bit of our assistance. Can you tell me more about your adaptation process?

Our adaptation process is tailored to each child's individual needs. We take in consideration important factors like the child’s nature, his or her previous experience from other kindergartens as well as emotional attachment to parents or other family members. At the beginning of the adaptation process we invite parents to an initiation meeting with our teachers, where we will learn more about their child. At this initial meeting we will discuss the best form of care and education that we think will be most suitable for the child in order to answer all concerns and choices of the parents. After this meeting and based on the information received from our parents we will decide on the most suitable adaptation process

At what age do you start with formal learning and subject teaching?

Classes take place practically from the first day of the kindergarten, regardless of the age of the child. Our curriculum is carefully designed to suit all ages. Naturally, our teachers adapt the level at which they are teaching individual topics and relevant educational activities, to suit the age of the children in their group.

How does your reporting system work and how often do you send reports to parents?

At Espania, parents are constantly informed and keep up to date. Daily reports are sent to parents every afternoon via the WhatsApp application and these reports include a list of activities and subjects that their children were doing as well as details of sleeping time and outdoor games that happened on the particular day. The kindergarten also sends a daily menu to the parents every morning.

On a weekly basis, we email parents a summary of previous days and plans for their little ones in the form of newsletters.

Twice a year, we organize open lessons for parents, where they can observe their child's progress in the foreign language, as well as newly acquired knowledge from various subjects. Open lessons are also a place where parents can discuss everything that interests them with the management and representatives of the kindergarten.

If parents have any other questions regarding the child's progress, observations or suggestions, they are welcome to come and discuss it with us every working day between 12.00 and 13.00. This time is set aside for personal meetings between parents and teachers and the director of the kindergarten.
